Out and About

January 23rd, 2011

Well it finally warmed up to a very lovely – 22C. We took advantage and drove out to a friend’s ice fishing hut ( 2 stoves in it for heat! ). Sadie had a blast running on the lake as fast as she could! She had ice balls on her nose and feet, but nothing could stop her! As you can see – she has grown! A small 64 lbs!!!  We have left her hair long to keep her warm…. she looks like a wooly monster!

Arnie Schreder – Retirement Flight

August 29th, 2010

p201008-027-arnieretirement201008-111-arnieretirement201008-141-arnieretirement201008-080-arnieretirementIt took me awhile to sift through and work on pictures. On August 12, 2010, Arnie Schreder had his last official flight in a DC-4 before heading to Kelowna for retirement. We will all miss him, be it while flying, socializing & partying. Buffalo is loosing a great pilot. I am sure he will come back for the odd flight. Enjoy your new house and time in the Okanagan… you deserve it Arnie.

Sadie goes camping

August 23rd, 2010

201008-005-prosperouslkcampingWell Dan finally got a green weekend (not on call) and I was off so we went canoeing and camping . Our friend Robyn and her dog Sierra joined us. We got a life jacket for Sadie and off we went. Sadie loved the canoe ride and watching Sierra swim the entire trip. Those labs are crazy swimmers! Both dogs had a blast – Sadie eats everything – sand, rocks, sticks, grass – oh yes and butter that she stole in the blink of an eye!!!

We had a great time – good food, great fires and just enjoyed relaxing.

Our lap dog…..

August 23rd, 2010

201008-061-sadielori201008-086-yellowknifeThought we should get a pic while she still fits on my lap. She is up to 28 lbs now and is an eating machine. The constant biting and drawing blood has stopped. She finally understands the word “no”. I think for the first three weeks she thought that was her name!

Last Training Session

August 20th, 2010

I think today we got our last one hour long training session in the CL-215. The fire season is coming to an end. Below is a time lapse stitched together from 520 individual still shots from a Nikon D300 on interval timer. Enjoy.

I did not do that!
